Shravani Parv Celebration with VED SHATAK AND GAYATRI YAJNA on 25th and 26th Aug 2018
Shravani Parv is celebrated in the Hindi month of Savan (or rainy season). Savan word has origin in Sanskrit word “Shravan” which means – to listen and the Shravani Parv is celebrated by listening to Veds and Shrutis and performing Agnihotra. It has great spiritual, scientific and social value from olden days. It is an occasion when learned men and scholars sit together and discuss the spiritual aspect of life. The performing of agnihotra also results in the purification of the atmosphere and destruction of disease causing germs which increase in rainy season.
